What a Gracious God is our God!
He sustains and empowers and enables even as He gives opportunity to serve. Though our strength is small, and we unworthy, yet He has given us a door of service to His Church which has remained open for over thirty-five years. Praise His Name!
Over the time of this report, June one through August 29th, we have been graciously enabled to speak the Scriptures and to tell of the needs of orphans, widows, refugee and street children around the world to congregations of God's people in Idaho, California, Washington, Iowa and New York States. The Lord has enabled us to give over thirty presentations and to meet many wonderful Saints.
The support of the brethren has encouraged us and built us up for the work of service which is the building up of the Body of Christ. We have been called and sent to a wonderful ministry, this 'Word sowing', and Sharon and I are joyfully continuing to 'go out' to the churches which are in Christ Jesus, 'speaking out' His Word for their up-building and washing, 'living out' the Word we preach as best we can in sincerity, and 'working out' our salvation with fear and trembling in God's sight as members of Christ.
During this reporting time we have also conducted the 'Orientation For Service' for our first class of Missionary Deacons & Deaconesses, and traveled to Haiti one more time. We are encouraged by the continued and growing ministries of Tom Meyer and Kenny & Teri Bortz to the Church in America. These commissioned Wordsowers are growing in Christ and in love for His Church as they also grow in repertoire and presentation skill. We thank God for them even as we pray that God will raise up more Wordsowers for His Church. (A Wordsower is a person who has been set apart by God and sent out by Wordsower Evangel Arts having dedicated their life to the edification of the Church of Jesus Christ through the dramatic forth telling of the Scriptures, in sincerity, while seeking to live out the Word of God to His glory in Christ Jesus) We look forward to training, sending and standing with those whom the Lord has called to this very precious work of service. Please check out Tom and the Bortz' web sites and blogs and pray for them as they labor for the Body of Christ.
Currently Sharon and I are touring in the Eastern U.S. and, except for two weekends, will be in this area until mid- December. Perhaps we'll get to see some of you at presentations. Your prayers are sought and appreciated.
