Quartzite

Quartzite:  Unique and sophisticated are the most appropriate words to describe quartzite, the stone of choice for discriminating designers, architects, contractors, and masons.  With earth tones of varied grey, blue grey, brown, and cream are highlighted with silver, white, gold, peach, orange, rust, red, mauve and deep charcoal-shimmering with an iridescent, metallic sheen and flecked with pin points of glistening mica schist.  It is metamorphosed natural quartz sandstone and is found in association with other metamorphosed sedimentary rocks such as phyllite, schist and marble. When sandstone is subjected to heat and pressure, it turns into quartzite stone, which is an incredibly hard and dense material composed of quartz crystals.  Being ones true desire, this stone is suitable for any application imaginable.
