What can I say about this girl besides she is the best dog on the planet. Butterfly (named by my 4 year old), is a gorgeous girl. "Fly " has the most  phenomenal personality and temperament on the face of the earth. She is CALM (which is usually not a word associated with the breed, in general), super loving, gentle and sweet. She absolutely loves and adores "her" kids, and she is the favorite dog of my baby daughter, who likes to grab Butterfly around the neck and hug and love on her, not to mention kiss noses. Fly eats it up. She sits calmly; quietly till the baby is done and has almost a smile on her face, and of course a wagging stub of a tail. This dog can do no wrong in my eyes.

We are currently working on obedience, but even though her leash work has been mainly limited to the show ring, she will go on a walk / jog with you and stay at your side with NO LEASH... and has picked up other obedience things (like sit and down) just from observing the older dogs. She aims to please, and is very sensitive to her peoples' moods. She is the dog who when you are feeling a little stressed or depressed, next thing you know there will be a face on your lap, dark eyes looking up at you as if to say "all will be alright", or sometimes a paw on your arm, just to let you know she's there. She's a leaner. If you are in the vicinity of her she always has to be touching you in some way. If I were to draw a cartoon doodle of her she would be cute as a button with hearts in her eyes. That is how she sees the world.

Unfortunately, due to a medical condition, and the fact that one of her ears decided not to stand, Butterfly has been retired from her show career. No matter, a show career is just a small fraction of a dogs life, she is still a loved and cherished pet, and we are happy to have her in our family.

Butterfly has been retired.
