Perteet's Pioneer Way Project Earns Greenroads™ “Silver” Award

It’s another award for the Pioneer Way Reconstruction Project in Oak Harbor. On April 10, 2012, Jeralee Anderson of the Greenroads Foundation confirmed the awarding of Silver Certification for the project as judged using the rigorous environmental sustainability criteria established by the Foundation. As noted by City Engineer Eric Johnston, “we are obviously very pleased that this long planned re-investment in our historic downtown could be built in a manner that reinforces our community’s respect for the environment.”

Perteet Inc. announces 100% employee ownership

Perteet announced today that it is now 100% employee owned.  Papers were signed yesterday in the final step to complete the transition to 100% employee ownership.  Approximately 11,500 of the nation’s firms are part of an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), but only about 3,000 are 100% employee owned.

Perteet Inc. expands expertise in Utilities, Traffic Engineering, and Construction Management


Dan Mathias, PE has joined Perteet Inc. as Utility Manager for their Transportation Design group and will be working out of Perteet’s Everett office.  Dan has most recently worked as a Regional Engineer at the Washington State Dept. of Health, and prior to that managed the City of Everett’s surface water management program.  He brings to Perteet more than 30 years of experience in Utility management including comprehensive planning for water, wastewater and stormwater facilities and development of a surface water monitor program design.  “Dan’s real-world experience from the City of Everett where he spent 25 years will be a huge asset to our clients”, said Crystal Donner, Perteet’s President and CEO.  “We value Dan’s history in working with the public on how utilities impact their daily lives – an important key to smart utility design and coordination”.

Oak Harbor – Greenroads™ Pilot Project

Perteet’s Oak Harbor SE Pioneer Way Reconstruction project is on its way to being Oak Harbor’s first Greenroads™ Certified Project. Greenroads™ is a voluntary sustainability rating system, or "performance metric," for roadway design and construction. It is applicable to all roadway projects including new, reconstructed and rehabilitated roadways. It awards points for sustainable choices/practices and can be used to assess roadway project sustainability.
