Tips For IT Support Customers

Zypes prides itself on being one of the best IT companies in the greater Seattle area.  Providing superior customer support is at the forefront of everything we do.  We strive to keep your computer network and servers working their best at all times. Here are some tips to make your experience with us even better:

  • Copy computer error messages verbatim.
    • Seemingly unimportant details in a Windows or program error message can give us important clues as to what the problem is, thereby helping us solve your issue more quickly.  If possible, Include an exact copy of any system error messages that pop up.
  • Be concise.
    • Give enough detail so that we have a clear understanding of your issue, but not so much that the important bits are drowned out in a sea of text.
  • Determine whether your situation is best served by emailing or calling.
    • Simple requests are best relayed in print, while more complex issues may require a phone conversation.
  • Include contact information in your messages.
    • The easier it is for us to get back to you, the more quickly we can resolve your issue.  Include a direct line if applicable.
  • Be Persistent.
    • If you don’t hear back on an important issue in a timely manner, don’t hesitate to try another method of reaching us.  At times our tech support staff may be off site and only available via phone or email, or vice-versa.  Please note that when you leave a voice message, it is forwarded to our email support box (support@zypes.com), which all members of the team keep an eye on together.
  • Use Bribery If Necessary.
