History

The earliest version of The NED Show began in the Northwest in 1989. The company was then known as “USA Yoyo Extravaganza” and featured the adventures of an imaginary yo-yo character who would eventually become a super cool 12-year-old kid named NED (whose name stands for Never give up, Encourage Others and Do your best). NED resonated with children of all ages due to its simplicity and the memorable way that his story was told.

After many years of adding dedicated staff responsible for sales, accounting, customer service and shipping, the company rebranded as All For KIDZ® at the end of 2004 to better reflect its vision. The assembly name was changed to The NED Show to reflect the core message of the program. Product manufacturing, previously done in-house to meet demand, was contracted to a larger facility that could handle the increased demand more cost-effectively.

At the same time, the assembly itself was also being refined and re-written with a stronger emphasis on character-education and academic achievement. Specific points in the main storyline were created to give schools the opportunity to choose a particular theme that the performer could emphasize at their request, such as anti-bullying, anti-drug use, literacy, student leadership, or a specific character quality. All for KIDZ has received report after report from schools about the long-lasting positive effects our assembly has on the culture at a school.

The Pay-It-Forward™ Program, an alternative to the traditional paid assembly, originated to allow the show to come to schools within their budgets, whatever they may be. This unique model was ultimately created to allow more kids to experience the character-building message.
